heart check for everyone!

we took connor to a new cardiologist last week for a check up/second opinion

we really liked the doctor and it seems connor is doing good right now

we learned a little more about his diagnosis and both doctors feel he should be ok and that

we should always keep an eye on his heart but he shouldn't need any testing/check-ups until

he's about 5 years old and going to start kindergarten

this seems like good news

lets hope his little heart keeps up the good work

since this heart condition could run in the family the doctor went ahead and did a EKG on Molly

the results were great no WPW for her

the doctor did tell us that it's pretty uncommon for siblings to have the same condition

and that it is typically a very rare and sporatic syndrome

connor was a very supportive big brother while she had her test done

Molly didn't seem very impressed with the test she was very serious

children's museum

the vonk's finally came into town a few weeks ago and we actually got to hangout and take the kids to the children's museum

it was so fun the kids were all over the place they didn't know where to start

{i only got a few pictures on my phone so they aren't the best

the kids were moving way to fast to get to many taken}

the kids were toast by about the third room

that place is huge

these pictures were definitely the highlights for connor

connor is pretty into dinosaurs right now and even has a stuffed one he takes everywhere

he was pretty excited when i asked if he wanted to go see the dinosaurs

until he saw it

connor and carson stood in the doorway of the room and wouldn't move an inch

carlee ran right in!

this dinosaur even moved and roared

but after we left and went to another room he was asking to go back

until he saw the dinosaur again

this was him reaching for me as he was looking at the dinosaur

connor put this hat on all by himself
i walked over to check on him and he was wearing it!
it is definately a place to visit over again!

Connor was so good the other day at the office.

While I was working he was quietly playing with his toys,

or so I thought...

It dawned on me just how quiet he was being and when I looked up

I saw he was covered in blue and green dry erase marker!

Never a dull moment!

I blame myself.

molly 5 months

our little molly is 5 months old already!

this month has been filled with milestones

molly is moving:

she's a scooter...always scooting backwards until she gets stuck

she keeps ending up underneath things like beds and the couch

she even launches herself forward when she is on her tummy

and she has gotten up on her knees even

she's very vocal and says "ma-ma"

she still growls and loves to giggle at her big brother

she can sit up for a few seconds on her own before she folds in half

she has a tooth coming in that is giving all of us trouble poor baby

AND

she has started eating cereal!

she wasn't too sure about it at first but she's getting used to it

eye exam

connor has always been a squinter

i remember when he was about 6 months old when he started to squint

at his 2 year check the peditritian recommended that we get him checked out just in case

i put it off for a few more months...

i wasn't sure how they test little eyes, but i did figure it wasn't going to be fun for connor

and it wasn't

he actually did ok it was more scary for him then anything

the doctor dialated his eyes and luckily everything looks gook

he is farsighted, which the doctor said it's pretty common in little eyes

these glasses after his eyes were dialated were the funniest thing

they told me that because connor's eyes are so light that they would stay dialated for longer, even up to 24 hours and they did!

molly loves her big brother if you can't tell in this video

she is always trying to find him and smiles when she sees him

he likes her too but not on the same level

he mostly points to her bed and tells me to put her back

he's done this before, made her giggle and that day i kept asking him to play with her and he finally went over to her

i was so glad i had my phone right there it cracked us up!

i've had to spend a little more time at my office then was originally planned

and connor has been my little assistant

he writes on the white board (and the wall) for me and loves to talk on the phone

he watches movies and colors pictures for me

he didn't like it there at first...

everytime we pull into the parking lot he says "go, go now"

(he says that when we pull into the parking lot of church too)

but as soon as we get inside he sits down and gets to work

(i will put up more pictures of him there)

last saturday james went to pheonix for the day...

i was downstairs with connor after he left and he came walking through the front door with a little brown chihuahua in his hands that looked just like our dog Beans

for a minute i was so confused and after i did a head count he explained that he was headed for the freeway and saw this little doggie on the side of the road shaking

he couldn't just leave it so he brought it home and left it with me for the day

this dog made himself at home right away

he jumped up on the couch and lounged around like he owned the place

he got along with max so well and even slept in their kennel

for a {lightening} quick moment i almost considered keeping the dog!

{having more dogs then kids...not ok}

thank goodness we found him a good home at uncle jeff's house

we can still visit :)

molly really likes her jumperoo and it's so cute

she is very active and is always kicking, rolling and wiggling around

she is also very vocal she has lots to say sometimes

four months

little miss moo moo has turned four months old!

i can't believe how fast the last few months have gone by

molly is such a sweet baby

here are some new things about molly

she rolls over

back to tummy & tummy to back

she is a great sleeper

she sleeps 6 to 8 hour stretches

she loves bath time

she still growls & snorts

she loves to grab our face when we hold her up
she likes her jumperoo

she just discovered her piggies

we found out at her 4 month well check that she:

weighs 13 lbs 9 oz

(50th percentile)

and

is 24 inches long

(50th percentile)

and has a small head

(25th percentile)

we love her so much!
