we took connor to a new cardiologist last week for a check up/second opinion
we really liked the doctor and it seems connor is doing good right now
we learned a little more about his diagnosis and both doctors feel he should be ok and that
we should always keep an eye on his heart but he shouldn't need any testing/check-ups until
he's about 5 years old and going to start kindergarten
this seems like good news
lets hope his little heart keeps up the good work
since this heart condition could run in the family the doctor went ahead and did a EKG on Mollythe results were great no WPW for her
the doctor did tell us that it's pretty uncommon for siblings to have the same condition
and that it is typically a very rare and sporatic syndrome
connor was a very supportive big brother while she had her test done
Molly didn't seem very impressed with the test she was very serious

I stumbled upon your blog by accident and read your post about WPW. It runs in my husbands family. He has 2 uncles, and aunt and his mom all have WPW or SVT, a similar condition. Both of my girls had EKG's as well to test for it, at age 1 and 3. Luckily they show no signs of it, but their pediatrician says he will do another at 5, right before school and if that is clear, they will get them again before high school or high impact sports. I had never heard of it before and just thought it was interesting to see another mom with the same concerns.
