Spring break '08 - Rocky Point

Well to say we've been on the move lately is an understatement. As soon as we got back from St. George we got back in the car and headed for Rocky Point with my whole family to spend Easter together. This was a big weekend for Connor, he had a lot of firsts...

1st trip to the beach!

1st time swimming!

And 1st Easter!

We had such a fun time having the whole family together! I'll add more family pictures when I get them. I just couldn't stop snapping pictures of Connor and he's become quite the ham as soon as he sees the camera. Thanks Nana and Papa for having us this weekend, we had a blast!

St. George trip

Connor and I got a great opportunity to go up to St. George, Utah to visit with Amy, the babies and great grandma Snow. We had such a fun time and Connor did awesome on his frist road trip. I had a great time hanging out at the Vonk's house! Thanks Kandee for driving us and Amy for letting us crash. We can't wait to do it again.

Bad to the bone

My mom has had this thing lately about getting the grandkids sunglasses so they get used to wearing them. Connor thought his pair was pretty cool. I couldn't believe how big he was acting when we put them on him. Sitting in a chair like a big boy. He's only 5 months old! He was cracking us up and I just couldn't resist sharing these pictures.

1st tooth!

I can't believe my baby has gotten a tooth! He didn't even have any teething symptoms. He just woke up from his nap and there it was. Poor baby. You can hardly see it in this picture, but it is there.

My new thing...

has been to make Connor's baby food! It is so much fun for me. I just gave it a shot last week when he started carrots. He actually liked them a lot. Tonight he started peas. He did not take to them right away and he made some pretty funny faces. I can't wait to test my chops at some other stuff.

Peas...not so yummy!

Green thumb

We planted a small garden, and by we I mean James' mom planted it while we watched. But we planted a few herbs and some tomatos and peppers. The tag on the pepper plant says "sweet", and we thought they were ready and only supposed to be small. Well, I took the first bite and those suckers were NOT sweet! Hottest thing I've ever tasted. No one believed me so Zach and James both took a bite and we were all scrambling for something to take the heat out. But they will be great in some salsa when the tomatos come in! I'm so excited to try some of the herbs and can't wait to add to my garden.

Look how innocent and sweet these peppers look! They are so cute.
