have you ever had one of those nights when you think did that seriously just happen??
we had one tonight...

it started when connor smeared ketchup all over the couch
james then sat in the ketchup getting it all over his clothes
me being the helpful wife and mother i am i quickly got his clothes into the
washer in order to avoid any stains
ooops! almost washed james' wallet, yes, caught it
{feeling on top of things at this point}
a few minutes later
james: "hey where did you put my cell phone?"
me: "where was it?"
me: running to the laundry room as it dawns on me
OF COURSE HIS PHONE IS IN HIS POCKET IN THE WASHER!

{he took it better then i thought he would}

this is doubly crushing because i dunked my cell phone into a glass of water just 2 weeks ago
following this i spent the next 30 minutes and $130 on the phone with the insurance co to get him a new one sent out since it is his work phone
spent the next little while after that looking for a phone for him to use in the mean time
couldn't find the phone but i did find my camera charger i've been missing for almost a year!
silver lining
tarnished when james said "that's funny i just ordered one for you for christmas"
oh well
then it dawns on me that we ordered our pizza over an hour ago and we are starving
call the pizza place, at least we got dinner for free
silver lining
finally get connor down after cleaning up his diaper rash {again} and reading 6 books, singing 3 songs and having a snack
we stood over the counter and ate our cold pizza
hoping the chaos is over...
then we blow a breaker on one side of the house and who knows what the couch looks like, i forgot to look
we were laughing by this point as we were on the side of the house trying to figure out what switch to hit
finally sat down, shut the lights out to relax and load my missing pictures from the last year!

miss molly (moo moo) is 10 weeks old today
i can't believe how big she is
she is sleeping great through the night most of time
she still snorts
she is a big eater
she loves to be held
she sounds like a squeek toy when she gets excited
she is very happy
she is a wiggle worm
she has a spot on her chin that makes her smile and giggle every time you touch it
she has tiny feet
(baby feet are small don't get me wrong...her's seem really small)
she is so sweet
it's only been 10 weeks but i can't imagine life without her

Molly's newborn pictures

she was pretty awake during the shoot and did so good
these are some of my favorite pictures

every year there is a "pumpkin patch" in our community and we thought this year would be so fun with connor
so we headed down there to get our free pumpkin and when we got there
NO pumpkins
lame
so we took a one and a half minute hay ride in a circle (connor didn't even like)
and
got a snow cone (that connor wouldn't eat)
and watched him roll on the ground next to the
but he did like the music and the massive (random) train set and the (smelly) petting zoo
(that mommy didn't like)

molly slept through the whole thing

arms up followed by a "woo hoo"
translation... "I love this!"

trunk-r-treat

we had a fun time last weekend at the ward trunk-r-treat
connor was a u of a football player and molly was his cheerleader
james and i were their biggest fans
{we didn't have time to paint our faces, but you can imagine}
connor's favorite part was the cake walk
daddy won twice and connor won once

connor's birthday party

PARTY
our little pumpkin turned 2!
we celebrated connor's birthday with friends and family at a neighborhood park
we had a great time and it was a perfect day for hot dogs, a pinata and cupcakes
connor got so much stuff and it has all kept him busy since
thanks to everyone that helped and that came to help us celebrate

all these amazingly wrapped presents and we couldn't get him to open one

{he played with a matchbox car all day}

i made and decorated this cake myself just for connor to dig into
and he couldn't have been more disinterested in it (figures)
he prefered licking the frosting off all the cupcakes he could get his hands on

after his party connor spent the rest of the afternoon playing with his new toys
daddy and connor had a great time playing with his geotracks
connor loves trains now

molly's first bath

molly had her first bath a few weeks ago and she did not enjoy it
it was a quick one because she was so upset
her umbilical cord stump didn't fall off until she was three weeks old
so you can imagine she was due to a good scrubbing
i sponged her off until it fell off and she hated that too
i can't blame her

connor's favorite show is Calliou on PBS and Sprout

he sings the theme song to it everyday

we think it's so funny and we got it on video he can't say the words but he does his best
