Ready to eat

Connor started eating cereal this week. I can't believe how fast my little baby is growing. He's such a big guy. He made some really awesome faces the first night but after a few bites he was taking it down like a pro! It's been about 5 days now and he really gets excited and reaches for the spoon with his mouth. He's so much fun and everyday he does something new. I love being a mommy.

I put Connor in his swing today so I could get a few things done and two seconds later he was out. I couldn't resist capturing this moment. I didn't realize how sleepy the poor guy was.

It's a start

This weekend James got motivated and decided to start our backyard! He was determined to put the grass in and enlisted some help from Brandon and Jason (thanks again guys!). I couldn't believe how fast they put the sod down. I didn't even get a chance to take before and after pictures. Max and Beans couldn't wait to try it out. The guys only got one row down before they were out there marking their teritory. But it looks so good and I can't wait to get the rest of the yard done. James has lots of great plans for it. I've decided to go out on a limb and try to do some gardening. I'm so excited to get that started and have a nice backyard just in time for summer.

Happy Anniversary!

Today is our 2nd wedding anniversary! It has been the most exciting and eventful two years of my life. James is an amazing father and husband and has made our dreams come true. I feel so lucky and blessed to have such a wonderful person to spend my life with! He alsways knows what I need, loves to surpise me and makes me laugh. I love you James! Happy anniversary.

A year in review...

Tomorrow is our two year wedding anniversary, and I must say that it has been quite a year. In the past year we have gotten a puppy, bought a house, had a baby and bought a car. The puppy (Beans) was my gift for our first wedding anniversary and my pregnancy was James' Valentine's Day gift. Well, then we decided we needed to plant some roots and purchase a house. THe car was just an added bonus. James is a great husband and has managed to make it all possible. He manages to keep our life full of surprises!

So I stumbled across this picture of James when he was about Connor's age. We didn't believe his mom, but she's right, Connor looks just like him! You can't tell by the picture all the way, but in real life he is a spitting image of his daddy.

Oh Mama, No!

Oh yes I did! Yesterday was probably the coldest days Tucson will ever see so I bundled Connor up in his bear outfit from Baby Gap. I wasn't sure of the practicality of this outfit when my mom gave it to me, but then I got it once I put it on him I couldn't resist! He was so adorable in it! He didn't like the hood much but the pants kept him very warm.

Jumperoo

Today James brought home a surprise for Connor. A Jumperoo!!! I was so excited. I've been wanting to get him in one of those and get him moving. We put him in and he wasn't really sure what to do so he just sat there at first. It took him a while and then he started moving around and even got in a few jumps. It seems like it will take some practice, but he did really like all the fun stuff on it. Can't wait til he gets a bouncin!

San Antonio, Texas!

Connor and I have had a busy week. We flew off to San Anonio, Texas to spend some time with Amy and Carson to go to some of Carson's appointments. We had so much fun and Connor and Carson did great traveling. Connor fell fast asleep as soon as we boarded the plane on both flights! While we were there we went to Carson's helmet and post op appointments. I'm so glad that everything looks great with him. We also saw some sights. We toured the San Antonio River Walk through downtown. It was really cool and the weather was perfect on that day. Connor had many firsts this week (first trip, first plane ride, first hotel) including rolling over! It was so random and we've been waiting and working with him to do it and then all of a sudden! James was bummed he missed it, but we know he'll be doing it more once he gets the hang of it. Amy and I had so much fun venturing out in a new place, at least she'd been there before so I think we did pretty good. Today we came into Phoenix and hung out with the Chamberlains. Taj and Mia are so cute and getting so big. Here are some pictures of our travels. Thanks again Amy for having us! We had such a great time and we miss you guys already.

Poor baby!

Connor had a follow up appointment with his cardiologist today. Poor baby he got sent home with another holter monitor. It will monitor his heart rhythm for the next 24 hours. Luckily he's doing great, just a little uncomfortable. The doctor will let us know the results of the monitor later this week, but we don't think that it will change our course of action. Which, at this point is to keep him on the medication for at least another 3 months and continue checking his heart everyday at home. We are just glad that he hasn't had any serious problems since he was born. Poor baby, he's such a trooper.
