i had a birthday this month

a great birthday

the last birthday of my 20s...

it was a great day full of surprises and it always reminds me of what a great husband i have, what a great family and in-laws i have and what thoughtful friends i have in my life!

thank you to everyone who helped make me feel special :)

i'm working on my list of 30 things to do before 30 (i'll post it when i finish)and already have a few in line to accomplish, but i'm trying to be realistic with what i want to do before i turn 30 because i only have 1 year left 

here's to another year!

i'm going out of my 20s with a bang!

miss moo

this sweet girl finally had her 2 year well check a few weeks ago...

she is a teeny tiny 26 pounds and exactly 3 feet tall

miss moo is so much fun right now...

yes she still has a binkie but if you saw how happy it makes her - she hugs them and frankly they keep her quiet sometimes :)

she nicknames everything to have a "ie" or "y" on the end

she is great at bedtime

she loves her big girl bed and there are very few nights i have to put her back in her room

she loves books, Dora (still) and she is very particular on what she wears (already)

as you can see in the pic below with her yellow shirt, purple pants, blue hat with pink flower and black books 

she's also wearing make-up

she is so dang sweet sometimes it kills us

she's still a mommas girl but loves her daddy

she has recently taken in interest in dancing and does a lovely twirl with a back kick at the end (this is daddy's favorite!)

she still loves princess movies and dress up but lately her favorite movies are 

"the iron giant" 

and 

"rio"

she can even quote both movies

(this makes me so proud)

we love our sweet miss moo and everyday she makes us laugh everyday with her outfits, her jokes, dances and songs

everyday is a blessing to have her

when james and connor came back from the doctor's office and said no more boot we went out to celebrate!  we went to the lake and fed the ducks and then headed over to the park to play all afternoon

the kids had a great time and it was such a nice day out

we definitely need to get out to do that more often

he's back!

this guy finally got his boot off

(about 2 weeks ago now)

and it has been awesome!

his foot is still sore and he walks with an awesome gansta limp but it's great to have him back!

let's hope he gets back to 100% soon and that his other foot doesn't pull the same stunt :)

miss moo loves animals!

we went to our friend's hair salon and they had 2 chug puppies and molly was in love!

she left crying because they were not coming home with us :(

she malled that poor puppy but only because she loved it!  she was as gentle as she could be it's hard to carry around a puppy when you're 2

preschool is really paying off!

connor is doing so well and has really gained independence and confidence and has learned so much! 

he's counting like a mad man and check out him practicing writing his name!

he learns fun songs and comes home with cute crafts every week

his teacher miss kylee is pregnant and due very soon, he loves her belly and can't wait for that baby to come out!

S is for Silly Socks

connor's preschool class had silly sock day this week

we search several stores and guess what? they don't make silly socks for boys!

so we settled on some knee highs from the girl department (do not mention this fact to connor!) they were blue, green and gray so it's not like they were girlie or anything

then i asked him if he wanted to make his silly socks and he got so excited

it was his ideas for the eyes, feathers and tails

he had so much fun making his socks that he thought he needed to make every pair this silly

i should've gotten a picture of the socks after class because they were trashed...no feathers or eyes left, he was so sad until he got to fix them up

we love connor's preschool teacher she does such fun stuff!

connor had so much fun

but didn't love when they actually caught a fish 

he had the eating and relaxing part down

and he cannot wait to go again!

Hello 2012!

Happy New Year!

We are excited to start a new year...and a little excited to see 2011 go :) 

It had its ups and downs like every year does

but January always gets me excited for the possibilities of what could happen next.

My favorite memories of this year:

(that's all my tired mind can think of)

This year we resolve to:

have more fun

laugh more

spend more time together

take more pictures

go on a vacation
