we took the kids to the fair last week 

we haven't been to the fair in so many years and we had a great time

the kids loved all the goodies, the rides and the animals

we saw horses, cows, pigs and goats

we enjoyed popcorn or "pa-corn" as moo says,

cotton candy that moo wouldn't eat

corn on the cob - molly went crazy with this one but i didn't get a pic :(

kettle corn, corn dogs and fries

i have a stomachache just writing this 

connor loved the rides he got to go on with his cousins

AND he even mastered some climbing

he's usually a little scared of heights but he did great climbing up the fun house to go down

it was such a fun time!

she was in heaven over at the tractor display

road trip

i took the kids a few weeks ago to st. george, utah.

i drove up with my mom and spent the week with her, my aunt Sue and my grandma

my brother, dad, nieces and nephews and my sister's family all came up for the weekend

we also saw my cousin and his family and met my mom's two cousins she grew up with

it was a reunion of some sorts 

unfortunately, i was a mess the entire time because my kids did not travel well this time

lack of sleep & real food and sitting in a car so long was tough on us

poor molly cried almost the entire time we were there and if she wasn't crying she was yelling at my mom!  

molly has always had a special bond with my mom and all the grandkids call her nana

well molly up and decided to change her name to NO-NA and wanted all of her attention every second she was around.  my mom was a trouper and we did the best we could to keep little moo happy

but she didn't come around until we got home

molly loved the car as long as she didn't have to be buckled

connor loves to help me clean at home and his specialty is windows 

 this is my grandma and her two nephews 

my aunt sue and my mom with their cousins 

in st. george there is a dinosaur museum 

actually, dinosaur tracks were discovered there and they build the building around a live 

excavation area...there were no actual dinosaurs there so connor was a bit disappointed

but the stamps and movie kept him happy as well as the toys his papa bought him

AND

play with your booster seat at the same time?

 well...

 tough decision...

try doing both at the same time

don't worry, i'm not one of those mom's who would give my kids cookies for breakfast (wink wink)...

just one who would leave my kids in their jammies all day long :)

i had the innocent idea last week to take the kids to get an afternoon treat of ice cream

our favorite place by our house has a vanilla crazy color 

and we went for it

the kids had a great time and surprisingly that stuff didn't stain anything permanently

GO CATS!

i've always felt proud to be a UA alum

but last nights game against Duke made me beam!

we had a great time with uncle brian and aunt jenna watching the game

they tried not to yell too loud after moo went to bed and

brian was pacing during a few parts

it was exciting

connor had such a great time with them, minus all of the attention being on the game and not him at parts

molly didn't nap yesterday so she missed all of the action

but she did rock a U of A dress all day and a little bam bam pony tail! 

when the vonk's come to town...

it's always a party when the vonk's come to town! 

and we try to get as much fun stuff with the kids in as we can

last week i watched carlee and carson for amy all day

and we had a blast!

4 kids 3 and under it, was busy but we did great thanks to some awesome helpers

i took the kids to the mall and they played and ate for a few hours 

(thanks to my family for helping me keep track of everyone)

then we ate lunch at the golf course and met up with james and gamma

then we {ambitiously i might add} headed to the zoo 

for dippin' dots, more snacks - ring pops, animal juice a train ride and ice cream from a van strategically parked right by the train

the kids had such a great time together - they're talking and laughing with each other

carlee and carson just had to bring their {giant & empty} pack-packs

and carson loved his map of the zoo even though it got broken {or bended in half :)}

all the kids enjoyed seeing the jaguar 

{different then the one on Diego, duh}

and then we came back to our house and played outside some more

amy's kids were so sweet with us that day 

i had such a good time getting to know them better as the little people they are now

watching connor with them cracks me up

they are playing pretend and saying movie lines 

so big!

and a special thanks to gamma for all your help with the kids last week!

18 months

our little moo moo is 18 months old today!  

it has gone by so fast and she has gotten so big in the last 6 months we can't even believe it

molly is a talker and loves to sing

her favorite song to sing is "rock-a-bye-baby" 

she is obsessed with her big brother 

the first thing she says in the morning when she gets up is "connor"

her other obsessions:

binkies

silkies

babies

&

doggies

she is bursting with life and can be one wild girl

but she has such a sweet side too

she makes us melt with her hugs and kisses, her pats and loves

can't wait to see what else she does in the next 6 months

when your this little

i came down stairs the other day and found connor lounging in a bucket we use for toys...

i was so surprised because i didn't see him in there at frist

i looked around the room for him and eventually landed on this

the funny part is that this isn't the first bucket he's enjoyed his shows in

and it cracks me up because he doesn't even think it's silly he thinks it totally what they are for.

molly has gotten very attached to her booster seat!  

she drags it all over and even likes it in her bed sometimes

she loves the seat belt on it and gets so mad when she can't click it together

and then when you help her she gets mad she can't get it undone.  

she also loves the wagon for the same reason

she was screaming outside and as i found her stuck belted in the wagon seat

she has such focus when she tries to get the belt together

this is her frustrated face...she will scream and get so upset

when she can't get her seat where she wants it and will repeat over and over "help me"

she has daddy help her to get the belt open and closed
